| 2008 Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis review It’s time to shift things up a gear. Introducing the new Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis. Tougher and more powerful. The new and improved Patrol Cab Chassis is harder working than ever before. No wonder it’s the king of the load.
Its combination of rugged reliability, power and safety means it's ready to handle every tough job this harsh continent can throw at it. Look under the bonnet and you'll find that the Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis is powered by its new 3.0 litre intercooled common-rail turbo diesel engine.
This common-rail engine is more responsive across the entire rev range which makes it great for everything from towing to overtaking on the open road. What’s more, it’s faster from a standing start. Indeed, power is up to 118kW at 3,400rpm. There’s plenty of grunt down low too - 380Nm at a range of 2,000 – 2,400rpm, in fact.
Add this to the 5-speed manual transmission with double cone synchromesh on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears, as well as a chain driven transfer case and you’ve got a workhorse that eats up the open road.

3.0 litre intercooled common-rail turbo diesel engine 5-speed Manual Transmission Dual front SRS airbags (optional extra on DX Coil model) Power Steering Air conditioning Intermittent front wipers AM/FM radio with CD player 95 litre main fuel tank 80 litre sub fuel tank Rear LSD (limited slip differential) Cloth seat trim (Moquette seat trim on ST Coil model) Driver Bucket/Passenger bench seat (front bucket seats only on ST Coil model) Front disc/rear drum brakes on DX Leaf model. Front and rear disc brakes on Coil models. 1,200kg payload capacity (excluding tray) Choice of metallic colours 3 year / 100,000 km warranty 3 year 24-Hour Roadside Assistance
